If it grows on plants, eat it; and eat it in as natural state as possible. HEALTHY DIGESTION RULES: The original diet, given by Heaven to our human family, consisted of grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables. These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a way as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing. They impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect, that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet. This diet that God gave to our first parents did not include meat. It is contrary to His plan to have the life of any of His creatures taken in order to supply us with food. He desires to bring us back to this original plan. He does not want us to subsist upon the flesh of dead animals. And this diet should be a simple one. It is very easy to take simple food—and make a complicated dish out of it that is hard to digest. Our diet should be simple: composed of simple food, simply prepared. By this is meant simple, healthful food, both raw or properly cooked, free from spices, grease, flesh meats, and complicated mixtures. Raw food is good, but warm food is needed by the system also. Eating only cold food draws vitality from the body to heat it up in the stomach prior to its digestion. Also helpful is the eating of fewer kinds of food at a meal, and eating it with thanksgiving. A cheerful heart will help your food digest better. Simply prepared meals will be more nourishing for your family and guests. Fashionable eating with its many dishes, mixtures, and hurtful foods is an invitation to gluttony. And this, of course, you do not want. --Food We Eat |
Exercise |
Begin a program of walking; walk as far as comfortable, gradually working up to 3 to 4 miles a day. "By active exercise in the open air every day, the liver, kidneys, and lungs also will be strengthened to perform their work. —Counsels on Health "Without physical exercise no one can have a sound constitution and vigorous health; and the discipline of well-regulated labor is no less essential to the securing of a strong, active mind and a noble character." —Counsels to Teachers "Exercise aids the dyspeptic by giving the digestive organs a healthy tone. To engage in severe study or violent physical exercise immediately after eating, hinders the work of digestion; but a short walk after a meal, with the head erect and the shoulders back, is a great benefit."—Ministry of Healing "Such exercise would in many cases be better for the health than medicine. Physicians often advise their patients to take an ocean voyage, to go to some mineral spring or to visit different places for change of climate, when in most cases if they would eat temperately, and take cheerful, healthful exercise, they would recover health, and would save time and |
Water |
Our body is about 75% of water. Lots of water is needed for optimal function. Every process depends on the presence of adequate water. "In health and in sickness, pure water is one of Heaven’s choicest blessings. Its proper use promotes health. It is the beverage that God provided to quench the thirst of animals and humans. Drunk freely, it helps to supply the necessities of the system and assists nature to resist disease. The external application of water is one of the easiest and most satisfactory ways of regulating the circulation of the blood. A cold or cool bath is an excellent tonic. Warm baths open the pores and thus aid in the elimination of impurities. Both warm and neutral baths soothe the nerves and equalize the circulation. But many have never learned by experience the beneficial effects of the proper use of water." |
Sunlight |
Sunshine furnishes natural vitamin D and helps to lower cholesterol. It can increase the volume of oxygen in the blood. Start with 10-15 minutes daily to face and hands, and work up to 30-45 minutes a day. "If the windows were freed from blinds and heavy curtains, and the air and sun permitted to enter freely the darkened rooms, there would be seen a change for the better in the mental and physical health of the children. The pure air would have an invigorating influence upon them, and the sun that carries healing in its beams would soothe and cheer, and make them happy, joyous, and healthy." —Healthful Living |
Temperance |
Good health requires moderation and wise choices in all aspects of life. He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. Proverbs 21:17 "God loves His creatures with a love that is both tender and strong. He has established the laws of nature; but His laws are not arbitrary exactions. Every `Thou shalt not,' whether in physical or Moral Law, contains or implies a promise. If it is obeyed, blessings will attend your steps; if it is disobeyed, the result is danger and unhappiness." "The transgression of physical law is the transgression of God's law. Our Creator is Jesus Christ. He is the author of our being. He has created the human structure. He is the author of the physical laws, as He is the author of the moral law. And the human being who is careless and reckless of the habits and practices that concern his physical life and health, sins against God." |
Air |
Pure fresh air is very important to our wellbeing. That means we need good air with lots of oxygen. Walking in forest and nature is great. Doing deep breathing exercise daily is very helpful. The best part of the day to do this is in the morning. "Air is the free blessing of heaven, calculated to electrify the whole system. Without it the system will be filled with disease and become dormant, languid, feeble." "A good respiration soothes the nerves; it stimulates the appetite and renders digestion more perfect; and it induces sound, refreshing sleep . . [If] an insufficient supply of oxygen is received, the blood moves sluggishly. The waste, poisonous matter, which should be thrown off in the exhalations from the lungs, is retained, and the blood becomes impure. Not only the lungs, but the stomach, liver, and brain are affected. The skin becomes sallow, digestion is retarded; the heart is depressed; the brain clouded; the thoughts are confused; gloom settles upon the spirits; the whole system becomes depressed and inactive, and peculiarly susceptible to disease."—Ministry of Healing |
Rest |
For healing and cleansing to occur much rest and sleep is needed as these actions are done mostly while asleep. "Some make themselves sick by overwork. For these rest, freedom from care, and a spare diet, are essential to restoration of health. To those who are brain weary and nervous because of continual labor and close confinement, a visit to the country, where they can live a simple, carefree life, coming in close contact with the things of nature, will be most helpful. Roaming through the fields and the woods, picking the flowers, listening to the songs of the birds, will do far more than any other agency toward their recovery." —Ministry of Healing "I believe it can safely be said that all human beings need a minimum of six hours' sleep to be mentally healthy. Most people need more. Those who think they can get along on less are fooling themselves." —Dr. George S. Stevenson "If we do not get enough sleep, we cannot be fully awake during the day." —Dr. Nathaniel Kleitman. |
Trust in God |
An abiding faith in our loving God helps our health. He has made every provision to forgive and cleanse all our past mistakes. He gives power to break harmful addictions and helps overcome bitter and angry attitudes that tear us up inside. If we are willing He will work with us, take away our love for sin and make us free in Him. "Only in day by day putting his trust in God, and not in the arm of flesh, will any soul obtain the experience essential to answer the prayer of Christ, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent,” John 17:3." |
Breaking the law of Air
"While correct internal breathing is of great importance the health-seeker should not remain in unaware of the rich benefits to be derived from "external breathing," performing through the medium of the skin. "The skin of the body," Dr. Philip welsh reminds us, "has millions of minute openings known as pores. One of these functions of these pores is to breathe in the fresh air. If we cover the skin of a person with a material like tar, and close these pores, even though the nostrils were open and free to inhale air, the individual would suffocate in a very short time.
"There once was a "tragic story of a little five-year-old girl who was to impersonate an angel at a Christmas party. In addition to her silvery wings, her little body was covered with aluminum paint to add to the brilliant "angelic" effect. The party was a great success, but a few hours later the child died of suffocation."

Almond Cheese or Yogurt
By Sharon Elam
Advanced prep: 2 1/2 days, Immediate prep: 40 min
Yields 6 to 8 cups, Special equipment: Blender, Sieve, Draining Bags
Ingredients
2 to 3 cups almonds
basil, chopped, to taste
garlic, minced, to taste
lemon juice, to taste

Blend 4 cups skinned almonds with 4 cups water in a vita-mix or blender. Pour into quart canning jars and set in a warm place for approximately 12 hours. The mixture will grow and there will be lots of air holes throughout. There will also be about 3/4 to 1 inch of yellow liquid at the bottom of the container.
Pour the mixture into draining bags. You can also use nylon painter bags (or pantyhose) -- quart or gallon size. Twist and knot bags. Hang over the sink or a bowl for about 12 hours.
Add chapped basil, garlic, lemon juice and Celtic salt. Use your imagination and create your own favorite spreads. Other seeds and nuts can be used instead of almonds.
The Healing Power of Carrot Juice
"In February, 1956, at the urgent request of my parents I went to my doctor for a complete medical check-up. At the time I didn’t feel ill, and was holding down a full-time job in addition to caring for my family. However, there were symptoms that indicated that all was not well. I was emaciated, and suffered from discoloration of the skin in the upper portion of my body. I was also subject to violent vomiting spells, headache and backache. All these I attributed to overwork. At this time I was forty one years old, and the mother of four living sons. The results of the test and X-rays showed me in apparent good health, with the exception of my right kidney. But as the kidney was still functioning, the doctor advised me against immediate surgery. He felt that I might “get by” for at least another years before having it removed. He reported that I had probably had the condition for two to three years, and assured me that he would not let things get out of control. In November, 1956, I returned to the Clinic for another check-up. The results of the dye test and the X-rays showed that both kidneys were now affected. I was sent to one of the best Urologists in Los Angeles County, who put me in the hospital within a matter of hours. Cystoscope, X-rays and other tests indicated immediate surgery – if possible. After hours of physical and mental torture, I was told that surgery was absolutely impossible, as both kidneys were now barely functioning, and much of each kidney was already destroyed. The X-ray showed that the kidney were collapsing and in the state of rapid disintegration. The doctor informed me that I had a rare and fatal kidney disease called “Pyo-nephrosis,” for which there was no known cure. When I inquired how long they figured I had to live, I was told that with God’s help, plenty of rest, a rigid diet, and if I could respond favorably to all known antibiotics, perhaps I might live a year. On November 26th, I was put on a rigid diet, including one small glass of milk, some sweets, green leafy vegetable, yellow vegetable, tomatoes, celery and rice. But, unfortunately, this diet did not seem to help. My weight dropped to 98 pounds. I suffered agony from bloating and edema, and often was confined to my bed with severe hemorrhaging. By December I was suffering so much pain, it was almost unbearable, and we sought the advice of many Urologist and surgeons, including those from the Mayo Clinic. All these specialists confirmed the original diagnosis. None gave any hope of recovery. I now began failing so fast I could scarcely believe it was really me. My strength was ebbing daily, and the hemorrhages became more frequent and severe. I began to pass pieces of kidney tissue, and pain racked my body day and night. Each urine specimen, taken three times a week, showed a more alarming condition than the one previous. Pus and blood were present in ever increasing amounts. I could stay only three days at a time on any one antibiotic, and then was switched to another. Yet my life was slowly but surely ebbing away. Then one day I met a very dear friend whom I had not seen in eighteen years. At first she did not recognize me, and was shocked beyond words at my physical condition. One of her first questions was: Lola, have you ever tried raw juice therapy?” I didn’t even know what she was talking about. Then she proceeded to relate many interesting stories about the therapeutic value of live food juices. She asked me if I had ever read a book on this subject by a physician in nearby Monrovia. I said, “No.” She immediately left the house and rushed to the nearest Health Food Store, and was soon back with a copy of the book. She begged me to read the miraculous experience of Mrs. X; of the little boy from Nebraska, and other thrilling case histories found in “Live Food Juices.” I read the book, and was deeply impressed with its ‘common sense’ approach to the problem of disease- its cause and cure. I felt, however, that I personally was beyond the point of being helped. But my mother and father and family insisted that I give this raw juice therapy a ‘try’. After all, I had nothing to lose and everything to gain in following the instructions found in this new book. I started immediately, drinking one gallon of fresh, raw carrot juice daily, and a half gallon of the author’s therapeutic “green drink,” made from green leafy vegetables, including alfalfa, parsley, dandelion, water-cress, mint, beet greens, etc. (See formula on page 119) When I began drinking these fresh, raw juices, I refused all other medication – all hypos, all antibiotics, all found in bulk form, either cooked or raw. Nothing passed my lips but fresh, raw juices, extracted daily by my husband. Many of my friends thought that by discarding all medicine and cooked foods, I’d surely die. On the sixth day, I asked my husband to help me out of bed; for I felt I could now stand on my feet. I had to insist, and he finally consented to let me try to stand alone – and I did! On the eighth day I took my first steps alone in many weeks. Then on the tenth day, as is usual in cases of extreme toxemia, I suffered a terrific “reaction.” With almost unbearable pain in my back, accompanied by alarming hemorrhaging, I was about to be taken back to the hospital, when suddenly the bleeding stopped, and plans to rush me to the hospital were cancelled. While I was very week following that terrible hemorrhage, I was not unduly alarmed. I had been told that many who are in most critical condition, experience some pretty “rough” reactions during the early stages of the raw juice therapy. Within three hours after the violent hemorrhage (which by the way, was my last) all pain in my back and body began to subside, and the following day miraculously vanished. I could scarcely believe it myself! To be able to rest – no fever – no pain – it was like a dream! This is April 1958, and my condition is steadily improving. My weight is now back to normal; I continue daily on my gallon of carrot juice and one quart of the “green drink”. Since the last October, I’ve eaten a small vegetable salad and some fresh fruit daily. It has now been more than a year since any meat or animal products or cooked foods have passed my lips. I am able to do a great deal of my own house-work now. Of course I must go slow and not become unduly fatigued. O, it is so wonderful and so gratifying to be on my feet again after being so near to death’s door! I am so grateful for the knowledge I have obtained – that proper diet is the greatest single health factor. There can be no substitute for live foods, naturally grown, to nourish and purify a polluted blood stream, or to regenerate and rebuild the tissues of a sick, broken body. I KNOW, because this miracle, thank God, has happened to me!" |
How to make liposomal Vitamin C
Raw Ingredients
Distilled water
16oz, Acerola Cherry extract powder (or vitamin C powder you have on hand)
Sunflower Lecithin
Mason Jars or a glass jar in general, blender and a Ultrasound device.

Natural Remedy Recipes
Deodorant
Your sweat is odorless. It is the entrenched bacteria feeding on it that make smells. You can never completely rid yourself of these bacteria. The strategy is to control their numbers. Here are a few ideas:
VITAMIN C WATER: Mix ¼ tsp. to a pint of water and dab it on. Then dab on cornstarch.
CITRIC ACID WATER: Mix ¼ tsp. to a pint of water and dab it on. Then dab on cornstarch. Only a few drops of these acids under each armpit are necessary. If these acids burn the skin, dilute them more. Never apply anything to skin that has just been shaved!
CORN STARCH: Many people need only this. Dab it on.
LEMON JUICE: This acid is not as strong, use what you need.
PURE ALCOHOL (NEVER RUBBING ALCOHOL): The food grade alcohols are grain alcohol and vodka. Dab a bit under each arm and/or on your shirt or blouse, then dab on cornstarch. If the alcohol burns, dilute it with water. Be very careful not to leave the bottle where a child or alcoholic person could find it. Pour it into a different bottle.
PURE ZINC OXIDE: You may ask your pharmacist to order this for you. She or he may wish to make it up for you too, but do not let them add anything else to it. It should be about 1 part zinc oxide powder to 3 parts water. It does not dissolve. Just shake it up to use it. After you get it home, you can add cornstarch to it to give it a creamy texture. Heat 3 tsp. cornstarch in 1 cup of water, to boiling, until dissolved and clear. Cool and add some to the zinc oxide mixture (about equal parts). Store unused starch mixture in the refrigerator. Only make up enough for a month.
ALCOHOL AND ZINC OXIDE: This is the most powerful deodorant. Apply alcohol first, then the zinc oxide, then dab on cornstarch. Remember that you need to sweat! Sweating excretes toxic substances, especially from the upper body. Don't use deodorant on weekends. Go to the sink and wipe clean the armpits like our grandparents did. Often, just plain cornstarch is enough!
Foot Powder
Use a mixture of cornstarch and zinc oxide poured into a salt
shaker with a lid. Add long rice grains to fight humidity. You
may also try arrow root or potato starch. If you don't have zinc
oxide use plain cornstarch.
Contact Lens Solution
A scant cup of cold tap water brought to a boil in glass
saucepan. After adding ¼ tsp. aluminum free salt and boiling again, pour into a sterile canning jar. Refrigerate. Freeze some of
it.
For Dentures
Use salt water. It kills all germs and is inexpensive. Salt
water plus grain alcohol or food-grade hydrogen peroxide makes
a good denture-soak.
People Wipes
¼ tsp. powdered lysine (you may crush tablets)
¼ tsp. Vitamin C powder (you may crush tablets)
¼ cup vegetable glycerin
1 cup water
Prepare wipes by cutting paper towels in quarters. Use white, unfragranced towels that are strong enough to hold up for this use. Fold each piece in quarters again and stack in a plastic zippered baggy. Pour the fluid mixture over the stack and zip.
Store a bag full in the freezer to take on car trips. If you want to keep them a month or more, add 1 tbs. grain alcohol or vodka to the recipe.
For bathroom use, dampen a roll of paper towels under the cold tap first. Then pour about ¼ cup of the mixture over the towel roll around the middle. Store in plastic shopping bag or stand in plastic waste basket.
The Healing Power of Dandelion
Source here.
John DiCarlo, 72, was admitted to the hospital three years ago with leukemia. Even after aggressive treatment, he was sent home to put his affairs in order. At the time, the cancer clinic suggested he try drinking dandelion tea. Four months later, he returned to the clinic in complete remission, and has been cancer free for over three years. He said his doctor credits the dandelion tea that he had been drinking.
George Cairns heals prostate cancer with dandelion root powder. Around 2003 George Cairns was nearing the end of his life after having been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He says, “One morning, as I was waking up and hoping the end would come soon, a voice came to me and said: “You have to do something about your prostate cancer. Take the root of the dandelion. Don’t expect a miracle. It took you a long time to get in this condition.” Then the voice was gone.
At first George did not take this seriously but then he thought, when a voice tells you to do something, you do it. He formulated a plan and started digging for dandelion roots that morning, which he let air dry the roots for a week and then pulverized into a powder which he began taking. Three weeks later, he says that the pain in his back and side was gone and he says that his bowels had improved. Five and one half months later, they could find no cancer in him at all. George shared his remedy with his community and reports that others were cured by using his dandelion root powder. George died in 2011 at the age of 94.
Dosage for dandelion products:
- For dandelion root tea: bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1- 2 tablespoons of organic dandelion root into the water and then reduce the temperature to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Strain the tea with a fine mesh strainer and drink an 8 oz cup of this tea 3-4 times per day.
- Or you can use dandelion root capsules, the general dosage is 500 mg, taken 3 times per day.
- The general dosage for dandelion root tincture is 56 drops added to a small amount of water, taken 3 times per day. When taking a tincture you should hold it under the tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing.
These are approximate dosage suggestions, see the precautions listed below and follow product recommendations.
Precautions
Some people may have allergic reactions to dandelion that may include a rash or mouth sores. If you are allergic to yarrow, iodine, ragweed, marigold, chrysanthemums, chamomile, or daisies, you may also be allergic to dandelion. Dandelion might cause heartburn in some people, so try cutting back your dosage and then slowly building up to see if that helps alleviate the symptoms. If you have gallbladder problems or gallstones, you should consult a doctor before taking dandelion. Dandelion is a diuretic and may cause dehydration so keep your fluids up by drinking purified water throughout the day. Consult a doctor if you are taking other medications.
