Prayer for the Sick,

“In prayer for the sick it should be remembered that “we know not what we should pray for as we ought.” Romans 8:26. We do not know whether the blessing we desire will be best or not. Therefore our prayers should include this thought: “Lord, thou knowest every secret of the soul. Thou art acquainted with these persons. Jesus, their Advocate, gave His life for them. His love for them is greater than ours can possibly be. If, therefore, it is for Thy glory and the good of the afflicted ones, we ask, in the name of Jesus, that they may be restored to health. If it be not Thy will that they may be restored, we ask that Thy grace may comfort and Thy presence sustain them in their sufferings.”
--Ministry of Healing

Water Enema

Cleanse colon, soften stool, and relieve constipation

Preparing a Water Enema: All you need is a 2-4 cups of water.

Bring the water to a boil on your stove top. Remove from heat and allow to cool to a lukewarm temperature.

Coffee enema

Stimulates glutathione production, boost energy and
immune function, and bring mental clarity

Preparing the Coffee Enema: Take 3 Tablespoons organic ground coffee to 1 quart water. Let it boil for 3 minutes and then simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and use at body temperature. The daily amount can be prepared at one time.

The body should be lying down on right side, with both legs drawn close to the abdomen. Breathe deeply in order to suck the greatest amount of fluid into the necessary parts of the colon. It also helps to let all the air out of the lungs and suck the gut in and out while in this position. This is a retention enema. Please retain for 10-15 minutes.

Dr. Gerson found that all the caffeine is absorbed from the fluid within 10 to 12 minutes. It goes through the hemorroidal veins directly into the portal veins and into the liver.

Peppermint Tea Enema

Relaxes smooth muscles, relief of colonic spasms

Preparating the Peppermint Enema: Add one tablespoon of dried peppermint leaves to 2 cups (one pint) of boiling water. Let it lightly simmer for 5 minutes and strain.

Garlic Enema

Antiviral, antibacterial, antiparasitic, and antifungal, and
removes mucus and draws out toxins

Preparing the Garlic Enema: Crush five cloves of garlic and let sit in 1 quart of warm, filtered water for a minimum of 15 minutes. Strain the water, then administer the enema.

Probiotic Enema

Reduces inflammation and restores gut bacteria

Preparing the Probiotic Enema: All you need is 1 teaspoon of powdered probiotic (Lactobacillus plantarum, Bifdocaterium lactis, and Bifidobacterium longum recommended) and 2 quarts of warm, filtered water.

Mix the powder in the water until it dissolves and use as your enema solution. Perform this enema occasionally to boost gut bacteria.

Epsoms Salt Enema

cleanses colon, reduces constipation, relaxes colon with its magnesium content, detoxes liver with its magnesium content

Preparing the Epsoms Salt Enema: Add 4 tablespoons  of Epsom salts to 8 cups of warm, filtered water. Make sure it is not too hot.

Don’t overuse this enema as it draws out extra water and could cause dehydration. Make sure to stay hydrated when doing any enema solution.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Alkalizes the colon and deter unwanted bacteria.

Preparing Apple Cider Vinegar Enema: Add 1-2 teaspoons vinegar to warm enema water.

Chamomile Tea Enema

Calms the body, relaxes the digestive system, abdominal cramps and spasms, relieve hemorrhoids, nausea, and sleeplessness

Preparing Chamomile Tea Enema: Bring the water to a boil, remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of loose chamomile to 2 liters of quarts of water, or 4 bags of chamomile tea. Let steep for 15 minutes. Cool to an appropriate temperature, filter, and administer. Retain for 15-45 minutes.

Lemon Enema

Cleanse colon and balances pH of body (cell pH not blood)

Preparing Lemon Enema: Add 2/3 cup of fresh-squeezed (and strained) lemon juice to 2 quarts of warm water.Remember that it needs to be lukewarm and not too hot. Mix it up and use with your enema kit.

To avoid irritation of the intestinal lining, don’t use this enema more than once a week, and hold it in for only a couple of minutes, not too long.

Lugol’s Enema
Kills bacteria, parasites and viruses on contact.

Preparing Lugol's Enema: Add ½ tsp. of Lugol’s iodine to 1 pint of very warm water; pour into cupsize
Fleet bottle (giving yourself 2 doses), or enema apparatus. Administer enema slowly and hold internally as long as possible.

The Easy 2% Lugol’s Iodine Enema

Add ½ tsp of Lugol’s iodine to 1 quart of very warm water; pour into cup-size fleet bottle (giving
yourself four doses), or enema apparatus. Administer enema slowly and hold internally as long as possible. Cold water will cause spasms and inability to hold it. Prepare only a cup the first time; do not force yourself to hold more than is comfortable.

  • Lugol’s iodine will lose its potency. Do not save for later.
  • Do not use metals with iodine.
  • If you use iodine that has a greater percentage please account for this before using.
  • You can purchase a fleet at any pharmacy or supermarket. Empty contents from the bottle, rinse and fill with your solution.
  • You can use a syringe to insert fluid into the rectum.
  • You can use an enema bag.

Recently suggested a woman who suffers from Morgellons disease try an iodine enema. She did. She later took aloe to flush out her system. When her system flushed, she had more than a cup full of round dead worms.

Do not use for persons who are allergic to iodine.

Black Walnut Hull Extra Strength
Kills bacteria, parasites and viruses on contact.

Preaparing Black Walnut Hull Extra Strength Enema: Add 1 tsp. of green black walnut hull extra strength tincture to 1 pint very warm water.

Castor Oil Fomentation

When applied it expells hardened mucus appearing as cysts, tumors or polyps. A fomentation over liver open, draws and flushes poisons from constipated capillaries inside liver. Used for any congestion, pain or stagnation, menstrual cramps, uterine/ovarian cysts and endometriosis, and arthritic joints and sore muscles

Before doing a castor oil fomentation prepare the area you will be laying on by placing some plastic sheeting or some towels to catch any oil that might drip. Castor oil cannot be washed out of any clothing or bedding. A castor oil fomentation is done by placing a natural wool or cotton flannel cloth folded into 3 layers saturated with castor oil but not dripping over the liver and/or abdominal areas.

Cover the cloth with a piece of plastic, then a source of heat which can be a heating pad turned to a comfortably warm temperature or a hot water bottle filled with very warm water. Cover with a towel and secure all this if needed with a towel wrapped around the torso and secured with safety pins.

This will be left on for at least an hour and can be left for up to 8 hours but usually an hour or two is the proper length of time. If a water bottle is your source of heat it will need to be refilled with very warm water several times to maintain the warm temperature. Another option is to alternate hot and cold while the fomentation is in place. The point is for the skin to absorb the castor oil.

Dr. Christopher recommends in The School of Natural Healing book to do the fomentation for 3 days and the following 3 days massage the same area with olive oil in a circular motion towards the heart and rest on the seventh day. The program can be repeated each week for as long as necessary. If the skin becomes sensitive to the oil cut back on days and time to what your body can handle. The castor oil goes through the skin into the liver area and lymph glands and starts drawing out the poisons and flushing them out, while the olive oil goes in and helps heal and rebuild new tissue. The saturated oil cloth can be reused many times. When not in use, store it in a heavy-duty resealable plastic bag or a glass jar.

Mustard Plaster

Ground mustard seeds contain chemicals and enzymes that, when combined with water, liberate compounds that encourage blood flow to the surface of the skin. The plaster also functions as a counter irritant, a substance that stimulates nerve endings on the skin, distracting the central nervous system from deeper-seated pain and relieving it. Plasters made with ground mustard are used to warm muscle tissues, especially deeper tissues, and to treat chronic aches and pains, such as those of arthritis.

Used For:

Poor local circulation

Chronic back pain

Frozen shoulder

Gout

Acute lower back pain of muscular origin

Painful muscles that will be massaged after the plaster is removed

Arthritis pain

Respiratory ailments such as chest colds and bronchitis by deeply warming the chest

Treating area:

Temperature, Hot (110 F)
Time needed, 15 to 30 minutes

Equipment Needed:

  1. 1 tablespoon of mustard powder
  2. 4 tablespoons of wheat flour and enough tepid water to make a paste spoons for measuring and stirring the paste
  3. Thin cotton cloth, approximately 10 to 12 inches
  4. Piece of plastic that is slightly larger
  5. A small towel
  6. Fomentation, hot water bottle, or heating pad to keep plaster warm
  7. Small tray

Procedure:

  1. Mix mustard powder, flour, and water to make a paste that can be spread on the cloth but is not so thin that it will run.
  2. Place the cloth on a tray
  3. Spoon the mustard mixture onto the cloth, and spread it out, leaving enough dry cloth to fold over well on all four sides. Only one thin layer of cloth will be between the skin and the plaster.
  4. Warn the person before applying the plaster, and say, “Be sure to let me know if this ever feels too hot.”
  5. Check the area visually before applying the plaster. This allows you to see what the person’s skin normally looks like.
  6. Place the plaster on the person.
  7. Cover it with the piece of plastic.
  8. Cover the plastic with a small towel.
  9. Place a source of heat on top of the plaster, plastic, and small towel.
  10. Leave the plaster on for 20 minutes.
  11. To clean the skin, apply a tissue or small cloth dipped in vegetable oil and wipe off the mustard.

Avoid when:

  • Allergy to mustard seed
  • Sensitive skin
  • Allergy to mustard seed
  • Open skin (e.g., wound, rash, eczema)
  • Any area where heat is contraindicated, such as in diabetic neuropathy or spinal cord injury.

Charcoal Poultice

Charcoal is an amazing substance. It adsorbs more poisons than any other substance known to mankind: lead acetate, strychnine, DDT, many drugs (including cocaine, iodine, penicillin, aspirin and phenobarbital) and inorganic substances (chlorine, lead, and mercury). It can adsorb thousands of times its own weight in gases, heavy metals, poisons, and other chemicals; thus it renders them ineffective and harmless. It can adsorb intestinal gas and deodorizes foul-smelling gases of various kinds. Charcoal can adsorb thousands of times its own weight in harmful substances. One teaspoonful of it has a surface area of more than 10,000 square feet.

Used For:

Abdominal pain

*Insect stings/bites

Disinfect wounds

Poison oak

Boils

Eliminate bad breath

Relieves symptoms of nervous diarrhea, traveler’s diarrhea spastic colon, indigestion and peptic ulcers

It treats infections of the face, eyelids, skin, or extremities

Adsorb wound secretions, bacteria and toxins

Purifies the blood

Carbuncles

Cleanses both the mouth and the digestive tract

Purifies air

Inflammation around the ears and eyes

Tip:

  • Take between 1-1½ tablespoons of powdered charcoal up to 3 times a day to relieve symptoms. Because food will reduce its effectiveness, take it between meals. Blend or swirl the charcoal in a glass of water and then drink it down; or mix it with olive oil and spoon it into mouth.

Procedure for poultice:

  • Place equal parts of pulverized charcoal and flaxseed in a pot. Grind the flaxseed into a find powder first. It will make the mixture form a paste faster.
  • Add enough water to form a thick paste and bring it slowly to a boil while stirring.
  • Spread the paste on a cloth to completely cover the area.  Fold the cloth over so it looks like a poultice sandwich.
  • The paste should be spread about one-quarter-inch thick and kept about one inch in from the edges of the cloth.
  • Place over the area to be treated.
  • Cover this with a piece of plastic at least one inch larger on all sides of the poultice.
  • Secure in place with a bandage. You can use strips from an old sheet or towel, socks, scarf, etc.
  • Leave on overnight or 8 to 10 hours during the day.
  • After removing the poultice, rub the skin with a cold cloth.

Notes:

  • The amount of material needed for the poultice depends on the size of the area to be covered. A large area will require about 3 Tablespoons of charcoal and flaxseed.
  • For small areas, such as a bee sting or spider bite, use only charcoal to make a paste. Flaxseed will dilute charcoal’s strength to adsorb toxins.
  • As a poultice it is one of the best substances in poultices for mushroom poisoning, insect stings, brown recluse spider bites, black widow bites, and various types of snake bites
  • Charcoal can be very messy. It can stain what come in contact with it. Use extra rags for precaution.
  • A poultice can be made from regular charcoal. For internal purposes you will need to purchase or make activated charcoal.
  • You can put the charcoal poultice into juice to make it more palatable.
  • To pulverize you can place charcoal between a cloth and hit it with a hammer or stone, or use a blender. When using blender, be sure to wait until charcoal dust has settled before removing the lid. Charcoal dust will go all over.

Interesting note:

  • Charcoal was placed in gas masks during World War I; and it effectively counteracted poison gas.
  • Charcoal is used in water purification, air purification, and for removing undesirable odors and impurities in food. Charcoal is the most-used remedy when many different types of poisons may have been swallowed. It is also used for diarrhea and indigestion. It is used for jaundice of the newborn, poison oak and ivy reactions, and many other illnesses. All research studies show charcoal to be harmless when it is accidently inhaled, swallowed, or in contact with the skin. (But if enough is swallowed, it can cause a mild constipation.) No allergies to it have been reported. But it is best not to take charcoal longer than 12 weeks without stopping. Do not take it regularly for long periods of time.
  • Charcoal from burned toast should never be used; since substances are present which are carcinogenic. Do not eat burned food. Charcoal briquettes are especially dangerous, because petro-chemicals have been added to them. The most effective type of charcoal is the activated form. This process renders it 2 to 3 times as effective as regular charcoal. First, the charcoal is ground very fine; and then it is placed in a steam chamber. This opens up the charcoal and exposes more of its surfaces, so it can adsorb much more. It must be stored in a tightly sealed container, because it readily adsorbs impurities from the atmosphere. (Leaving the top off a container of charcoal will partially purify the room it is in, to the degree that the air in the room comes in contact with the charcoal.)

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne’s warming properties acts as a catalyst to the body, stimulating the immune and cardiovascular systems in particular. It has antiseptic properties and can help with congestion, digestion, and constipation.
Its healing effect for yellow fever and all febrile conditions is well known. Yellow fever is a devastating infectious disease, and the effect of cayenne on infectious disease proves its great worth as an antibiotic or bacteriostatic. It has also proven effective in lockjaw (tenuous).

It works wonders for healing the stomach. Take capsules with meal, with juice or sprinkle on food.

When used on the surface of the body, cayenne never blisters or lesions, or cause inflammation. It is good for open sores and cuts.

A plaster of cayenne will relieve inflammation internally and externally; and can even be used on proud flesh for healing and stopping blood flow.
It may be added to Epsom Salt and grapefruit packs and to other poultices such as flaxseed.

Used for:

Relieves rheumatism and Pleurisy

Stimulates

Produces perspiration in the sweat bath

Prevents and reduces fever

Purifies the blood

Strengthens the heart

Normalizes circulation

Acts as a restorer

Heals ulcers of the stomach and bowels

Varicose ulcers

Hemorrhoids

Inflammation of the anus

Sore throat

Stimulant to the pancreas

Induces heat

External: Poultice:

  • Cut cloth to desired length.
  • Lightly drizzle oil over the cloth. Do not cover the entire cloth. It will not be needed.
  • Smear oil with spoon
  • Shake pepper over oiled cloth
  • Tap off excess pepper
  • Apply to area
  • Cover with saran wrap
  • Secure with bandage or tape

Note:

  • However a little heat is very good for decreasing inflammation, but avoid putting too much on your poultice as it could possibly get too warm.
  • You can apply poultice over any organ to increase circulation.
  • If you do not get a response from the pepper, increase the amount of pepper.
  • There is no need to discard the poultice after one or two uses. It can be re-used multiple times. Keep poultice wrapped in plastic when not in use so it does not dry out. You may wish to add more oil or pepper to the same poultice.
  • Excellent poultice for wrapping a limb with poor circulation such as in diabetes when gangrene is a threat. Diabetics can greatly benefit as well by using it internally to stimulate the whole system.
  • It can be placed inside socks and mittens to increase blood circulation to those areas for warmth. I have personally given it to the homeless who suffer coldness.

Jethro Kloss's Herbal Liniment

Ingredients
2 ounces powdered myrrh
1 ounce powdered goldenseal
½ ounce powdered cayenne pepper
1 quart of grain alcohol (vodka)

Directions

  • Combine herbs and grain alcohol (vodka) in a glass jar. Shake daily for seven days.
  • Strain herbs from alcohol. Use an unbleached coffee filter or cheesecloth, but a clean thin towel can be used to remove as much powder as possible. Bottle and label. Store in a dark, cool place.
  • Because liniment are made the same way as tinctures and are made with either 70% or 90% alcohol content, the shelf-life of the final product, when correctly stored and used, can last for a very long time.

This preparation is for external, topical use. You can use any herb.

Interesting notes:

  • Cayenne pepper is a fruit. It can be treated as a fruit even as the cucumber. It is not like black peppercorn which causes irritation to the stomach. Cayenne pepper will heal a stomach ulcer quickly.
  • When a small pinch is placed under the tongue it can stop a heart attack.
  • When taken in tea or in capsules, it can stop internal bleeding. A friend of mine had a dog who was hit by a car. The dog started hemorrhaging. She took cayenne capsules and forced it down his throat. Bleeding stops. Dog survived.
  • Cayenne pepper can be given rectally with enema bag, fleet bottle or inserting a lubricated capsule. It increases circulation and bring blood to the intestines for healing. Caution should be taken not to touch the outside of the rectum with cayenne pepper. It will produce heat and burning sensation. Lubricate rectum with oil prior to inserting nozzle of enema bag as a precaution. Oil will protect skin. Cayenne pepper will not burn skin. It will produce discomfort.

After Dental Care

What you will need for the following proceedure:

  1. a water pick
  2. hot water, towels
  3. empty syringe (barrel only, purchase at pharmacy)
  4. pure salt or sterilized salt water
  5. Dental Bleach

Our mouths are a seething cesspool of bacteria. If we open our mouth we do not see bacteria because they are too small to be seen by the eye and they like to live in and under plague, teeth and all the way down to the bone.

Our purpose of doing a dental clean-up is to kill all the bacteria that invade the deeper regions of the jaw bone. Bacteria will spawn in the decaying teeth and crevices under tooth fillings. From here they continue to seep throughout the body. They will be especially attracted to areas where there is inflammation (pain and swollen areas caused by toxicity and undigested food) and food (metals, toxins and actual food) so this includes tumors. If these bacteria personally inhabit tumors, making up part of their structure, the tap must be turned off before the disease can come to a halt.

Antibiotics cannot stop tooth decay which is brought on by bacteria because they do not reach the crevices in teeth. Why? Because there is no blood circulation there. This is the same reason they do not reach cavitations. So you will not find the use of antibiotics in this protocol.

Bacteria can be sealed into the tooth or gum when a cap, crown or filling is put into the mouth, but bacteria can actually be sealed into gum after a tooth has been removed. A deep wound is left after an infected tooth is pulled and even though most bacteria do leaven there are certain ones don’t. Here are a few things that are needed:

A few steps to consider:

  1. Once out of dental chair rinse with Dental Bleach and when you get home.
  2. Swish mouth with warm water. Heat will bring arterial blood.
  3. Keep the cotton plug in place for you to bite down on and reduce bleeding, even while swishing. Don’t suction the water around forcefully. This could cause the blood clot that needs to form to dislodge. Slowly move the warm water around. Water squirting and swishing never dislodges the clot but strong suction or infection dislodges it.
  4. At the same time apply a hot towel to the outside of the face where the dental work was done. Wringing a wash cloth out of the hottest water can endure. Or fill a plastic baggie halfway with hot water, zipping it securely. Do this for 30 to 40 minutes a day for a whole week. Do not miss a day because there is no pain. Remember the blood brings healing. It is common for dentists to recommend ice packing to reduce swelling, but swelling is less important than infection or pain.
  5. Before going to see the dentist it is better to have a hardy meal and skip food for the next 24 hours. After surgery drink only water. After two days eat nothing with food particles in it. Here are a few suggestions:

    a) Chicken broth, filtered or vegetarian broth
    b) Herb teas, sweetened, filtered
    c) Fruit juice and vegetable, filtered
    d) Puddings

Nearly all infections come from eating solid food. Try to keep food as sterile as possible. (If you need knowing how to sterilize food, just ask.) Try to focus on healing the site. Food, fingers in the mouth can bring in bacteria. Don’t even try to suck liquids through a straw and don’t allow the tongue to suck the wound site. As the anesthetic wears off there will be little pain as long as bacteria have been killed.
  6. If a pain killer is needed choose a non-aspirin variety. Aspirin will encourage bleeding. If there is pain on the following days then infection has started. If pain subsides then infection has been cleared (bacteria removed). Dentists rely on antibiotics to clear up infection. I find this is not sufficient and can be addressed a more natural way.
  7. At the end of the day the cotton plug can be thrown away.
  8. After eating rinse mouth with a cup of very hot water to which add ¼ tsp. of salt. Fill syringe with hot salt water and squirt each extraction site several times. Some bleeding may occur. If infection has started bleeding may be a good thing to wash bacteria outward.
  9. If pain (infection) has not cleared on the second day use a more forcible stream with the water pic using the lowest setting. Do this repeatedly until clear. Hot pack the outside of the face again.
  10. Floss front teeth being gentle. You can make your own gentle floss. Store bought is often too harsh. After flossing clean these teeth with hand-rubbing using a dampened towel with water and oregano oil. Rinse with Dental Bleach several times in the day and bedtime.
  11. Drinking blended solid foods with no chewing is allowed on the third day. Use water pic after each meal. Add hot water with a few drops of Lugol’s iodine or 1 tsp. of colloidal silver, or salt. Use low setting at first squirting each site carefully. Floss and brush teeth as mentioned before with fingers. You may notice how difficult it is to squirt out trapped food. If water pic is not successful and pain returns, you may wish to return to the dentist to find trapped food.
  12. Just some thought on bleeding. A moderate amount is normal and caused by water pic is not too serious, but you can do this if you sense an emergency:
    a) Apply ice cubes wrapped in a paper towel or cheesecloth.
    b) Bite down on them till bleeding stops. Continue ice-packing for 4 hours.
    c) As soon as it is safe, return to hot packing. If bleeding does not stop go to the dentist or emergency room.
Continue water picking, hot packing, and rinsing your mouth with Dental Bleach after each meal until the gums are healed over. This may take five to seven days longer for some sites. Floss and brush your front teeth once a day. If pain stays, you may reduce the treatments to three times a day, then twice. If an odor is detected, bacteria are making a comeback without pain (a different bacterium other than streptococcus). Odor speaks of food lodged in wound and is decaying. Try bleaching, squirting and swishing and water pic for a half a day; then hurry back to the dentist if the odor persists.
